Cost Estimating

Effective cost estimating is probably one of the most important tools that enables a project sponsor to understand the resources needed to complete a project within a defined scope. Good cost estimating is essential for project management success, and our team is experienced with providing accurate cost estimates based on current market conditions and industry trends.

Schedule, Cost & Scope Management

Change Order Management

Establishing project baselines are important and are used to compare actual performance to planned performance and to determine if project performance is within acceptable guidelines. Schedules and costs are directly related. An increase in one almost always affects the other. Our PM team recognizes that budget and schedule control are critical to the success of our client’s project. We stay on top of the project budget by tracking it on a percent-complete basis to measure performance during each accounting report period (semi-monthly).

A project without a well-defined change control process is likely to have scope, budget and schedule impacts.  A change control process clarifies steps and responsibilities for project managers to submit requests to responsible parties for review, that are then approved or denied. It’s an important process to help manage medium to large projects with multiple moving parts.

WBS Development

Our team will develop a comprehensive work breakdown structure (WBS) that will be used throughout the project. A project is characterized by time-limited activities with a corresponding assigned fixed time frame and cost. The WBS tool allows our project managers to distribute the budget into defined packages linked to the tasks, and to make certain that the task costs in total do not exceed the total project cost. A full scope, schedule, and budget for the task order will then be developed and agreed upon.
